Troop 130 Upcoming Events:

Hi Parents and Scouts, Below is a few reminders and some schedule updates.

This Saturday Nov. 22 nd from 9:00am-2:00pm MOS is having a Church clean up day to clean up leaves and debris outside. This was scheduled for last week but it was rained out. Anyone that could make it would be appreciated.

1.) Scout dues are due on Monday November 24th $35.00

2.) Popcorn will be in on Monday Nov 24th. Please be at the meeting to pick up your popcorn. All money for popcorn in due on Monday Dec. 1st

3.) Just a reminder , if you would like to donate items for our Holiday care package to Iraq in honor of one of our past scouts ( Lt.Col.Louis Stout ) please send all items in by Monday November 24th

4.) We will be having a Knife sharpening demonstration on Monday Dec 1st.. Bring in your knifes and sharpening stones. Knifes will also be for sale with parents permission. A flyer will be handed out at the Monday night meeting. Click here for details

5.) Camp Barton Campout December 5th-7th Gannett Lodge

6.) Monday Dec 8th will be our next Board Of Review.
Work on finishing up any advancement before then.

7.) The PLC has decided to volunteer in the community this holiday season by ringing the bells for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. We have been assigned to volunteer Thursday Dec 11 from 5:00pm- 9:00pm at the Greece Ridge Mall food court entrance outside the doors. We will need at least 4-scouts and two adults for each hour starting at 5:00pm to ring the bell. Please let me know if you would like to sign up. We will also have a sign up sheet at Mondays meeting. Scouts can wear there Class B sweatshirt or scout uniform. Please come out and volunteer in your community.

8.) Monday Dec 15th will be our Christmas Party. We will be watching a movie and having some snacks. Senior patrol has volunteered to bring in pretzels,chips,etc.

9.) Monday Dec 15th $25.00 Massaweepie pre-registration is due if you plan to go to summer camp

10.) Monday January 5th will be an Eagle Court Of Honor Dinner.
A sign up sheet will be at the Mondays meeting.

12.) We continue to support the Society Of St.Vincent de Paul (SVDP). This is a program to help others that have fallen on hard times. We will be supporting them with a monthly food basket and them helping out in there soup kitchen and whatever else they may need help with. We are asking each scout to bring a non perishable food item to scouts with them on the first Monday of each month. This food will be donated to the food cupboard in our local community.
